 这次特别篇的舞台，是吉宗治世20多年后的江户城。原创系列中年轻的将军吉宗也面临着六十大寿的继承问题。剧中保留了系列的世界观和魅力，在继承问题上摇摆不定的吉宗和江户城内的人们的模样，以及在城下町发生的阴谋漩涡的疑难事件，将被加入新的角色和时代性来描绘。

莎拉·米利根讲述了她从尴尬青少年成长为自信喜剧演员的故事，用幽默的方式回忆了校园恶霸、公共淋浴间，还有她那些尴尬的私密经历。
